Happy 3rd Birthday Little Boy Blue!

It's so hard to believe that it's been 3 years since little boy blue was born. He's been such a joy that it hardly feels fair that I get to be his mom. God certainly knew what he was doing when he blessed our little family with this boy. And how lucky are we to raise two amazing and loving kids. I'm just beaming with pride!!

If we put three years into perspective, what it really represents is:

1,095 days. That's it. It's been just over 1000 days that we've been a family of four and it's been amazing. The sleepless nights, the feedings, the diapers, the fevers and dr visits. But I wouldn't change a thing...why? Because more importantly there have been smiles, hugs, sloppy kisses, cuddles, laughter the undeniable look of love in his big brown eyes when he says "Mommy, I LOVE you!"

We had a fantastic week of celebrating. It all started in Duluth the weekend of Teagan's skating competition. All the grandparents came from Marquette and rented rooms at The Edge Waterpark. After a morning at the cold DECC and Amsoil rinks we made our way to the warmth of the waterpark. It was such a great time!!

Then after the competition was over we headed back to the cities for a Superbowl Celebration with the Klein's and Young's. Of course, the halftime celebration was not just Beyonce but also for Nolan. Such a lucky little boy!!

All this fun and it was YET to be his birthday! Finally, on February 4 we celebrated his OFFICIAL birthday with a birthday cookie and party at daycare and then a celebration with the girls u9 Rebels Soccer team! Thank you Angie for bringing the birthday treats!!

All in all, it's been a successful birthday week! Happy Birthday baby boy! I'm looking forward for many, many more years and hundreds of thousands more days.

I love you to the moon and back Nolan Ryan Stupsky!!!

And onto us a Fish was Born!

Time flies when you're having fun! First of all I cannot believe that my little boy is knocking on the door of turning three. In some respects he's such a big boy and has learned so much and in other ways he's still my little cuddle bug boy. He still grabs me in a big bear hug and in the most caring voice says 'I LOVE you!' It's the most heart-warming moment for me as a mom.

Another special moment happened just last weekend. This little guy is now in swim class all by himself. An adult (Ryan) no longer needs to be in the pool with him. This is what I love about this little guy - he has a GO FOR IT attitude and has the confidence to plop himself down in the pool and show exactly what he can do. Take a look...

Way to go Nolan! You're a rock star in the pool and I love you to the moon and back!

Ode to Santa

Christmas had come and gone and we spent weeks singing Christmas songs with Nolan and Teagan. We also told so many Christmas stories, but it wasn't until after Christmas that Nolan sat in his carseat and whispered his little poem about Santa. It was so precious I had him repeat it over and over. I finally was able to get it on video although he didn't do all the hand motions - it still warms my heart!!
When Santa comes to my house
I like to take a peek.
But he will never come again,
Until I'm fast asleep.

See, told you it was cute!

What?!?! Mommy has ignored her blog?

Even Nolan knows that an ignored blog is a boring blog! We'll be back soon folks - we're out enjoying our very short summer here in Minnesota! See You Real Soon!

Nolan's First Birthday

It's unbelieveable how quickly the past year has gone. Nolan is already one! He's done some amazing things in just 365 days. He rolls over, crawls, smiles (for real, not just the baby gas smiles) and is SO VERY CLOSE to walking!

Mommy made him an Elmo cake.

And he's very happy about that - check out his grin!

Oh, and he's very good and being messy!

It will be any day now and he'll be graduating.

Nolan is Four!

Ok, so he's only four months but still - it's a pretty big milestone for this little guy! Today we had Nolan's four month shots and even though he seems to be having a great time he was in pain from all the shots to the legs!

Little Mommy Teagan

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts Teagan adores her little brother and takes her responsibilities as the Big Sister very seriously. The crying and the screaming are starting to wear her down though too as the other day she turns and says to me "Mommy, he's starting to annoy me!"

What could I say - I had to agree but I also had to remind her that she did the exact same thing when she was a baby. She doesn't believe me. Now I have a mission to find the video of her screaming at the top of her lungs - seeing is believing!!

Even with the screaming I've been able to capture some special moments between these two.

Nolan is 5 weeks old and this is his very first bottle! She looks like a pro and he seems to enjoy it! Mommy enjoyed her FREEDOM too!!

I just love the way Nolan is looking at her while she is feeding him and the look on his face when she snuggles with him is just priceless!

And Baby Makes Four!

So, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth - I've only spent the past 9 months incubating a new little human to occupy it! I am proud to announce that Nolan Ryan Stupsky (named after Daddy not the ballplayer) was born Thursday, February 4 at 12:04 PM weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and a full head of hear (a mullet if you ask his Auntie Odie [littlebabylehtinen.blogspot.com])! We were supposed to be induced on February 5 but I guess Nolan had other plans and wanted to arrive on his own terms.

This new little man has totally changed the dynamic of our family where parents once outnumbered the child(ren) 2 to 1. Now we're dealing with one-on-one and the effects can be felt daily. We used to be able to tag team Teagan and household chores - "easy, peasy pumpkin squeezy" as Teagan would say but now we're each assigned a child. Yup, you guessed it - that means that the household chores have gone to hell in a hand basket. Granted we're not quite a month into our life-long foray with two children and I know that we'll eventually find balance but until then I need to learn to ignore the less than perfect surroundings.

Now, back to the little man! He's adorable and has quite the set of lungs just like his sister did when she was born. I was told, many times over, that no one has had more than one colicky child so I think we should win some sort of colicky child-bearing award.

Speaking of Teagan she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES being a big sister and puts her hands and lips all over Nolan whenever she has the opportunity. She's writing stories about him almost daily at school and according to her teacher some of her friends/classmates are also writing stories about Teagan's "babe brvr" <---- That's how Teagan spells Baby Brother.

Here are some pictures of the newest little Stupsky and the big sister:

She's already a pro and wants to be the only one to hold him.

Which one is the baby and which one is Nolan!??!  Teagan thought it was really cool that he was the same size as her Itty Bitty Baby.

Big Sister earned herself a field trip to American Girl at Mall of American. She chose to get the full-size Lanie doll. Lanie is the 2010 doll of the year and also happens to be the name of one of her "bestest friends"!

Four Parks. One Day.

With only a few days left on our Disney Spring Break 2018 we headed over to Epcot. We jumped on Test Track (may the best car win!) and then ...
